Wage: $28 per hour during 6 month probationary period, $30 an hour following probation completion.
Hours: 40 hours per week

Details: Kawartha Ethanol Inc. is a leading producer of premium alcohol products, fuel-grade ethanol and essential co-products. Our site is a state-of-the-art ethanol production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager the Shipping
- Operator is responsible to ensure that products are shipped in a safe, efficient manner and that products are within specifications. The primary product being handled is high quality alcohol.
- The equipment required to perform such tasks includes, pumps, valves and PLC’s
- Monitors the operation of equipment using a combination of computer displays, meters, gauges, and recording devices
- Ensures alcohol is loaded to correct procedures without contamination.
- Samples and tests alcohol loads using specialized equipment and procedures.
- Record data, actions, incidents, instructions, etc., in written or computerized format.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multitask while simultaneously monitoring and managing multiple processes within the manufacturing workflow
- Self-Starter eager to learn and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to trouble shoot and be flexible to changing demands
- Strong abstract reasoning skills with the ability to think conceptually,
- Previous experience in a process plant environment would be considered an asset.
- A high school diploma and post-secondary education in technical field
- Is able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, P&ID’s and PFD’s.
