New video highlights employment partners, services, and supports in Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton


A new video was released today by the Workforce Development Board/Local Employment Planning Council (WDB/LEPC) showcasing employment and training service support agencies for employers.

The goal of this video is to increase awareness among employers in our region about the range of programs, services, and training supports available to them, as well as to provide employers with information about our local employment services and training network.

Workforce Development Board is a not-for-profit organization that is leading the Local Employment Planning Council pilot project for Northumberland, Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes & Haliburton. Founded in 1996, WDB is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) to provide labour market information, coordinate employment and training services, and engage employer communities. The LEPC initiative provides expanded resources for co-ordinating integrated planning and initiatives, as well as helping employers, workers and job seekers to make informed training and career decisions.
