The Workforce Development Board (WDB) has completed its annual EmployerOne Survey in Peterborough, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton. The survey, conducted between January 4th, 2022 and February 18th, 2022, allowed businesses to share information about their workforce experience in 2021.
WDB worked hard to connect with local businesses to generate a response rate that provides meaningful results locally and delivers a perspective on workforce development. We heard from over 150 businesses in Peterborough, Northumberland, Kawartha Lakes, and Haliburton.
EmployerOne Survey results are shared with educators, employment support agencies, businesses, economic developers, and industry associations to provide a better understanding of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, workforce changes, projected hiring and skills requirements.
“Thank you to the many businesses in our catchment area for sharing information about your hiring challenges and workforce needs,” said Jennifer Lamantia, CEO, of Workforce Development Board. “By completing the EmployerOne Survey, you have made a significant contribution to the development of responsive local workforce development initiatives.”
