The Workforce Development Board (WDB) is pleased to announce that Rachel Brown will be assuming the role of Community Development and Communications Coordinator as of Monday, December 10.

“We are very excited to welcome Rachel to our team at WDB,” says CEO Jennifer Lamantia. “She brings many talents in marketing and social media as well as her strengths and abilities to build rapport with community partners.”

Earning a diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications from Sheridan College, Rachel has a keen ability to create, analyze, adapt and apply various communication strategies to targeted audiences, and has extensive experience in direct mail, email blasts, social media, research and partnership building.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the WDB,” says Rachel. “I’m looking forward to supporting their vision and growing awareness for the important work that they’re executing.”

Rachel is originally from Havelock and after living and working in Mississauga for a few years, she has returned to Peterborough.

The Workforce Development Board is a not-for-profit organization serving Peterborough, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland and Haliburton. Founded in 1996, the WDB is funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities to provide labour market information, coordinate employment and training services and engage employer communities.
