Population (peopled aged 15 and over) = 16,070
Number of employed people  = 7,120
Number of unemployed people = 755

First thing we are going to look for is the Labour Force, which is:
1) Labour Force = Number of employed people + Number of unemployed people
= 7,120 + 755
= 7,875

With this information, we can determine the Participation Rate, which is:
2) Participation Rate = (Labour Force ÷ Population) * 100
= (7,875 ÷ 16,070) *100
= 49.0%

Now to look at the Employment Rate, which is:
3) Employment Rate = (Number of employed people ÷ Population) * 100
= (7,120 ÷ 16,070) * 100
= 44.3%

4) Unemployment Rate = (Unemployed ÷ Labour Force) * 100
