The Canada-Ontario Job Grant provides direct financial support for employers to purchase training that will help them build workforce capacity to improve performance and ensure ongoing growth and success. Employers choose the workers and the training.
The cost of the training is a shared investment between the employer and the Federal and Provincial Governments, where the government contributes up to $10,000 per employee.

  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement
  • Electrical Safety-High Voltage
  • And much more…

For employers that wish to hire employees with special needs, or require support around accommodating existing employees, WDB partners with CNIB, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) and the Canadian Hearing Society (CHS).

Literacy and basic skills training and academic upgrading service providers are also a key part of the training and employment service delivery network. LBS agencies help adults improve their communication, numeracy, digital and self-management skills in order to pursue or maintain employment. Employers benefit by directing existing employees to these services as it allows them to improve employee capacity and productivity while strengthening existing working relationships and reducing turnover.
